General Rules
Alright then, if you're here reading this GOOD JOB. Anyway let's get down to business then shall we? The guild rules and regulations are simple and most of you won't have a problem following them.
1) Be kind. This is simple. Don't be rude and/or obnoxious to any fellow guild mates. As long as you're not a total jerk this should be easy enough to follow. (Occasional light trolling is alright as long as this does not create disputes and/or arguments)
2) Don't be a beggar. Basically don't pester someone for something. If you ask for an item or what have you either offer compensation or refrain from repeatedly asking for said item. If you ask for something once it will be overlooked. But making a habit of asking for stuff and pestering guild mates will be noticed and will not be overlooked.
3) Do not ask for your rank to be raised. Rank will be affected at the discretion of the ranking members and asking for it to be raised will be ineffective. Be a notable and active figure in the guild and one day you may find yourself at a higher rank.
------Zera's Words of Wisdom: I will personally bring the pain of the Banhammer down upon those who ask me for rank raising in the future. I have been generally lax with it but now I am going to toughen up. It's annoying. If you didn't get promoted for whatever reason, well, nothing is stopping you from trying again. Besides, it gives both you and us an excuse to do a run for crowns and materials. Don't get mad, get Glad! (No seriously, or I'll tape this Firecracker to your face. Not only will it kill you, it will hurt the whole time you're dying.)
4) Refer disputes. Since ranking members in the guild have greater power please refer any major disputes to them. Trying to resolve small disputes is fine but if it get out of hand please contact an Officer or Guild Master.
This should about be it. Have fun and be respectful and we won't have an problems.

I am also officially instituting a rule about in/activity of members in the guild. Generally most of it's the same as before but for the sake of clarity and posterity I will type everything out.
The guild will generally ask of you to be active at least once each week. On Saturday/Sunday (depending on my schedule) I will be pruning the guild's member list to kick/demote those who are inactive. "Demote" you say? Yes. If you are at least a member or higher, you will now instead be demoted at first before an actual kicking. So Veterans will be taken down to Member, and Members down to Recruit. Recruits will be the rank that is kicked. Yes, that DOES mean you'll have to re-earn Veteran rank. Yes, that DOES mean you have to go through the re-initiation of becoming Member again. NO, you will NOT be allowed to exploit this new rule. If you are consistently being demoted and re-promoted because of general inactivity, the guild reserves the right to kick you and give your membership to someone else who will use it more effectively. Kissing ass will not help you avoid this; being generally awesome and making us all love you however, will.
[/Iron fist] All of that said, if you know ahead of time that you will have to be inactive for a week or longer, if you contact me, Nithhogg, Silloe, or Kunoric about it (preferably me, since I'm the one who does the pruning. Such is the life of a Devious Secretary...) and let us know the hold up, then you can avoid all of that mumbo jumbo up there that sounded so uncharacteristically dictatorial of me. (I blame Anonymousmessage )

How did this get 12 views?
So, just figured I'd test out the old reply button, and mention that these emoticons make me want to hurt something.
Except the ones that I can make innuendo comments about.
Can I just edit anything I want?

Re: General Rules
Reputation is an arbitrary value associated with posts made. I could give it any name I want really. Just a way to see how active a user is.
ooooh...
screwin' with the metrics... I found the little + button.
I'm also curious as to what the max post total is before next page..

I can still post...?
I just clicked the LOCKED button.. guess not working as intended.
Also, I gave you a downvote to see what'd happen... you can't change votes can you? And those buttons are rather close to one another.

Odd
That is unfortunate... I'll see if I can fix that. Perhaps because we both have moderation power? Who knows... And not sure if you can really alter the upvote/downvote thing... I think it just affects the "Charisma" stat.
Re: General Rules
Considered having signatures?
Because I think I just made mine.

So, once my charisma is high enough... I'll be able to haggle newbs for lots of cheap gel drops?
How much do I need to get a +1 modifier?

Well...
The Chrisma is just ar arbitrary value based on how often your posts get upvotes. But I'll humor you and say you need 10 charisma fo that.
Re: General Rules
The dark green & grey combo is a bit hard to read.
Also, shouldn't the theme of this place somehow reflect the guild name?
I imagine a dark red or something...
Green and grey might work too come to think of it, but the current motif doesn't quite suit my tastes.

Re: General Rules
That's because somehow the basic "Reply" and "New Topic" buttons say Locked instead of "Reply" and "New Topic" for some reason. |DSilloe wrote:I can still post...?

I think it has to do with us having Mod power. I'm not sure though...
