I didn't have issues with it. Silloe just like to pervert thing not unlike one of my roommates... It's probably better to tune him out than dignify him with a response. Then again that's just how I would handle it.

Not the best thing in the world.... and could use a lot of cleaning up but I suppose that's what Photoshop and Illustrator are for, aren't they? Also, it took so long to get just this because you guys are more of a distraction than you think. >:C also, the S letters were a pain in the ass.

I think that could turn into something impressive. Like you said, Zera, Photoshop can do wonders with drawings that started out simple. Just think of your drawing as a base, and the real thing doesn't even exist yet. You could sorta see it like a marble sculptor, that the figure is already in there, and you have to simply reveal it from under the base, one line at a time. To use another famous phrase from one of my favorite movies, "free your mind".

Also, were you already envisioning the pentagrams in the O's before I posted mine? I realize that they're very appropriate for the guild's name, but...

yes and no. I couldn't decide between that and the curse status image, so after seeing your's I went with pentagrams first to see what it would look like cuz it actually kinda looked neat.

So I suppose people seem to think the pentacles are rather appropriate for our guild. But you won't catch me in a basement drawing magic circles and casting spells, just sayin'. By the way, the Pentacles is a Wiccan symbol with the sing point upwards and the double point downwards. A pentagram is a Satanic symbol with two points upwards and a single point downwards. Simply put the Pentagram is an upside-down pentacle.

Semantics. I actually know pentagrams are upside down (Thanks to DOOM 3) I just drew them right side up cuz I was tired and when I'm tired I don't think. I still think I might replace the one above the i with the curse eye symbol instead.... it might look better and help me feel like I didn't spam pentagrams so much

Well, welcome to my level, now I shall beat you with experience

so getting back on topic.... I have starting the inking process of my logo in Illustrator. And I thought I'd share my progress because I finished the "Cursed I" pun intended.

You forgot to make more refined versions of the S's... also you changed the direction of the stars I see.

lol, yeah the Ss haven't been inked yet. I'm nowhere near done yet. I just wanted to share the i. XD

And here it is! finally... the finished version of my logo. the texture was a product of laziness, and I ended up messing around with a stock effect of "rust" and made it into a texture swatch... the gradient was a pain in the ass too, had to use a HUGE oval for it and I had to do some post-editing with MS Paint to eliminate a ton of transparency that exporting decided it wanted to keep in.

Not bad.

I like the original art, and the font you've made. Especially the little spike on the O.

Your letters bump texture is pretty cool, but You should have double applied it to both words so that The beginning and ends of each word would have equal bumpiness.
(ie, the 2nd final s in souls should be bumpier)

But, to hell with symmetry, amirite? On that note, I would have also moved Souls to a centre alignment to match with the background bloom.

Think I would have also faded the bloom to black faster or made the image larger so that is doesn't look square on the black background.

the non-uniform texture thing is something I can't actually control. There's like an "invisible layer" of said texture thaT I'm not allowed to access and the only way to edit it would be to edit the texture itself. and it was hard enough doing that without getting "lines" in the texture where the image would "stop" and then "restart" again.... :/

I understand the bloomy effect possibly being made smaller so that it doesn't look so square, but I couldn't get it to light up enough of the area so that the pentagram in the first o would show. xP though I night try and mess with it, I suppose. I might go in and recenter the word Souls as well, if for no other reason than to see how it looks (I kinda like the non-centering, even though I did originally plan to center it).
