Favorite Characters

remember back when i described Joshua?well you technically need him too- without a partner you're just a normal wandering spirit, and are extremely vulnerable to Noise (the incarnation of malcontent and aggressive thoughts), meaning you can't fight them, but they can drag you away to a pocket dimension to try to kill you before you find another spirit.the thing is, it's not Joshua that's important, but just that you find another person-and there were tons to choose from, josha just had the metaphorical paper work already ready.

Which brings me back to the point that the most annoying characters are never your enemies. At least when an enemy annoys you to no end you can just beat their face in and be done with it. (save "Alan" characters that keep coming back when they shouldn't) You can't punch an ally's face in and you can't make them permanently shut up. Unless you're playing a game like Devil Survivor were characters die unless you decide to save them... Or maybe in Fire Emblem you could lead an annoying person into an unwinnable fight so they die. Case and point: allies can end up being the most obnoxious characters since they're always there and you often can do nothing to shut them up.

Actually I was saying all think with Captain Obvious guides and Midori from Devil Survivor in mind.

in all honestly, the only enemy characters i hate are the one's that act like they didn't just have their prostate handed back to them,but that isn't their fault;it's just this awkward thing a lot of early games had, where you have to win to progress, but the script will treat it like it was a loss or a draw.incidentally, fake ryu from Kindom hearts:chain of memories was a character i feel like i would hate if i felt differently, since i dreaded running into him and i had to make a deck specifically dedicating to stand up to him... but he's an enemy- and a good foe is supposed to make you feel resentful of them

But the problem is most enemies don't make me feel that way. I wish more games could make the enemies act more like enemies than a random jerk you forget about once you beat him to the ground. Again maybe this is just me being annoyed about an insignificant issue though.

my top five fav. non silent characters in random order are:

Lance the dragon master (pokemon silver): one of the best support NPC's i can recall from an early age; he was cool, and i always was happy to see him- he was what a pokemon champion should be, patrolling the country like a super hero- in short, he made it feel like i actually had help and wasn't just the chosen protagonist.then again, that was a while ago and my memories might just be fuzzy.

GLaDOS(portal 2); i think this is a given;but yea, of all the villains i have to say aperture villains are the best, and i think we all know why.

Neku(the world Ends with You): for some reason people keep confusing him with sora, though i don't see any resemblance... any way, Neku seemed really identifiable to me when i played the game-odd i know, but his reaction to both allies or other wise mirrored my own and is one of the many reasons why i maintain TWEWY as one of my favorite games.

RAY the possessed lamp(ghost trick):i can't really say much with out spoiling the story, but even before that becomes an issue,just every time i go to talk to him was a treat

the mind of Edgar Teglee(psychonaughts): as much as the milkman's twisted mindscape really showed off the core of psychonauts, Edgar, and everyone in his head made for a really interesting story- he's not just my favorite character of the game, he's my favorite level and wardrobe too.

Yeah, Zera edited the period to something like

I originally thought Panda had put that in himself... otherwise the 'edited by...' would appear at the bottom.
But, turns out if you don't put a reason, it doesn't say it was edited.
So, to reverse troll him, or even to play along with Zera I edited it again to -
